The Republic of Moldova will receive assistance from the EBRD for solid waste management
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will offer a grant worth 600,000 euros to finance technical assistance for the implementation of the "Solid waste in the Republic of Moldova" project. The ratification of an agreement was approved by the deputies during today's Parliament session.
According to the Legislative, the non-reimbursable funding is intended for consulting services.
The project aims to implement the national infrastructure development program related to the solid waste management process. Also, equipment and machines for transport, sorting, recycling, composting will be procured, as well as the activity of unauthorized waste dumps will be stopped.
We remind that, previously, the EBRD also offered a loan worth 25 million euros for the implementation of the same project.
