The law enforcement officers carried out searches in a criminal case regarding the dispossession of Chisinau City Hall from public lands worth 135 million lei. According to the National Anticorruption Center, the decision-makers of a public association are involved in the file.
According to the data presented, members of the organized criminal group, including two bailiffs, organized fictitious tenders between 2014 and 2016, after which they came into ownership of 15 public plots of land of the local public administration.
Thus, following the searches carried out at the homes, offices and means of transport owned and used by two accomplices, objects and documents of interest to the criminal case were seized. The persons targeted in the criminal investigation actions have the procedural quality of suspect.
Criminal prosecution actions take place under the procedural leadership of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office.
