Joyful Natalia Barbu Prepares for Eurovision

Natalia Barbu will represent Moldova at Eurovision in Malmö, Sweden, with her song "In the Middle".

The two-time winner of the Eurovision National Final expresses her overwhelming joy at the opportunity. She also shared insights into her planned stage performance for the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

"I'm filled with so much emotion; I'm practically trembling with excitement. This moment is the culmination of immense hard work. I connected deeply with the song's message, and if the audience feels that connection too, that will be the greatest reward. This version isn't final; there are more surprises to come. This is a moment you have to wholeheartedly embrace," Natalia Barbu declared on the show "Mesager".

Natalia Barbu secured her victory with a total score of 12 points. The jury was particularly impressed by her performance, awarding her 60 points. The public also supported Natalia Barbu, casting 2,421 votes in her favour. However, Valeria Pasha garnered the most public support with 4,771 votes.

This will be Natalia Barbu's second time representing the Republic of Moldova at Eurovision. Her 2007 performance with the song "Fight" earned her an impressive 10th place finish.

The 2023 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest was won by Swedish representative Loreen with the song "Tattoo".
