A new manager of the Chisinau International Airport was appointed

Sergiu Spoilă will be the new acting manager of the Chisinau International Airport, announces the Public Property Agency. So far, he held the position of head of the administrative department within the company.

We remind that today is the last day of the mandate of Constantin Vozian, who announced his resignation at the beginning of this month, citing "a limited spectrum of the administrator's duties".

Constantin Vozian was appointed as administrator of Chisinau International Airport in April 2023.

We remind you that the Chisinau International Airport has been under the management of the state since March, last year, as a result of several disputes in national and international courts.

It had been concessioned in 2013 to a company allegedly affiliated with the fugitive oligarch Ilan Şor. The Moldovan authorities requested the termination of the contract on the grounds that Avia Invest would have accumulated arrears in terms of investments, which it had assumed in the concession contract, of over 66 million euros.
