Moldova: New Natural Gas Price Approved
Moldova's energy regulator (ANRE) has approved a new natural gas tariff for consumers. Effective February 21st, households will pay 13.39 lei per cubic metre, excluding VAT.
The newly approved tariff will be enacted once the decision is published in the Official Monitor.
In late January, Moldovagaz requested a price revision for natural gas supplied to consumers from the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). The chairman of the board of Moldovagaz, Vadim Ceban, told Teleradio Moldova that the institution sought a tariff of 13.35 lei per cubic metre, excluding 8% VAT.
The previous price reduction occurred in the summer of last year, with gas prices falling from 29.27 lei to 18.06 lei per cubic metre. This older tariff remains in effect until the new one is published.
