Government Funding for Romanian Agriculture: 2024 Budget Update
Since the start of this year, the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) has authorised payments of over 480 million lei.
According to AIPA, 85.54 million lei was transferred to farmers' accounts just last week.
The agency approved 572 applications for additional payments totaling over 68.5 million lei last week. It also approved 17 applications for post-investment support, worth 13.5 million lei. AIPA further announced the approval of 35 project proposals under the LEADER program, with funding of 1.2 million lei. Five applications for subsidies to improve rural living standards, totaling 2.27 million lei, were also granted.
For 2024, the State Budget Law allocates 1.6 billion lei to the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development.
