A member of the CSP from among civil society representatives, appointed by the Government

Mihail Sorbală was appointed as a member of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP) from among civil society representatives for a term of six years. A decision to this effect was approved during the government meeting today, February 28.

Mihail Sorbala promoted the evaluation of ethical and financial integrity carried out by the pre-vetting committee.

"Mr. Sorbala has legal studies, is a doctor of law, university lecturer in business, administration, law. Lecturer at ULIM," said Artur Mija, Secretary General of the Government.

According to the legislation, the CSP is composed of 10 members. Four members of the CSP are elected by competition from among civil society, as follows: one - by the President of the Republic of Moldova, one - by the Parliament, one - by the Government and one - by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
