Open Letter to the US House of Representatives. Igor Grosu and other EU Parliament Presidents request assistance for Ukraine
Several Parliament Speakers from European states are calling for US international assistance for the Ukrainian people. In an open letter addressed to the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, the legislative leaders show their support in the joint efforts to help Ukraine. The document was also signed by the Parliament Speaker, Igor Grosu.
Officials are calling on the US House of Representatives to support Ukraine and provide the Ukrainian people with the funds they need to continue their fight, from US assistance to foreign countries.
"During these two years of war, countries that hold to our shared values and believe in a world based on rules and respect for the UN Charter have come together to help Ukraine and its people repel the brutal aggression that is claiming hundreds of lives daily. We consider it our responsibility and our task to prevent this descent into chaos and impunity, and therefore our countries have pledged to further increase our support for Ukraine and its defense forces, seeing this as a considerable investment in security our individual and collective", reads the open letter of the Parliament Speakers.
