War in Ukraine // Russian forces attacked Kharkiv and Odesa regions at night
Attacks by Russian drones resulted in at least two deaths, on the night of Friday to Saturday, in Ukraine, in the regions of Kharkiv (northeast) and Odesa (south), the authorities in Kiev announced, reports AFP.
A young man was killed and several people, including a three-year-old child, were injured when a Russian drone struck an apartment building in the port city of Odesa, according to authorities, News.ro reports.
"The three-year-old child has leg problems and is under medical supervision," said the region's governor, Oleg Kiper, who added that six adults were also injured.
A house was hit by a drone in the village of Veliki Burluk, about a hundred kilometers from Kharkiv, which led to a fire. The body of a 76-year-old man was pulled from the rubble, according to police.
"The house was completely destroyed. Police officers evacuated an elderly woman from a neighboring house," the same source said.
Ukrainian forces report that they shot down 14 drones launched by Russia in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporozhye, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk regions.
