The Timofei Mosneaga Republican Clinical Hospital and the Emergency Medicine Institute are now equipped with eight state-of-the-art operating tables, 13 mobile stretchers, five defibrillators, and 16 additional mobile stretchers.

This vital equipment, valued at over 90 million yen (approximately €755,000), was purchased for Moldova's healthcare system with financial support from the Japanese government, channelled through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The donation represents the latest initiative in a broader program to strengthen Moldova's medical infrastructure.

The new equipment will significantly enhance the quality of medical care provided to all patients in these facilities, including Ukrainian refugees seeking treatment in Moldova. Improved access to modern medical technology translates to better diagnoses, more effective treatments, and ultimately, improved health outcomes for patients.

This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all ages. By strengthening healthcare systems, countries can create a healthier future for their citizens.
