Roberta Metsola: "Romania has done amazing things with the Republic of Moldova"
The European Union will support the Ukrainians as long as needed, as the Ukrainian people fight for European rights, freedoms and values, said the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola. Also, the official added that she is impressed by the fact that this state is so small, vulnerable, but so strong.
"As president of the European Parliament, I was in Chisinau on Europe Day, where I participated in a demonstration. We had 60,000 Union flags out front. I could not believe it. It's amazing that such a small, vulnerable country is so strong. Romania did amazing things with Moldova, you helped them. You are the strongest advocates for Moldova to become an EU member state. I am impressed by Moldova, I am happy. I feel privileged to have been able to go there several times, and the leadership of the country is fantastic," Metsola pointed out.
We remind that Roberta Metsola is present in Bucharest, to participate in the Congress of the European People's Party, which takes place on Wednesday and Thursday at Romexpo. She had meetings with President Klaus Iohannis, Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu and the President of the Senate Nicolae Ciucă.
