Israeli Offensive Persists: Netanyahu Stands Firm on Gaza Assault

Netanyahu's pledge to destroy Hamas follows their attack on southern Israel in October, resulting in casualties and kidnappings.

With over 30,000 fatalities in Gaza during Israel's subsequent offensive, Palestinian health authorities estimate, condemnation has grown globally.

Rafah, home to 1.5 million people, faces dire conditions as residents flee Israeli military actions. Netanyahu, speaking at an Israeli army officer training ceremony, emphasised the necessity of rejecting blame for Hamas's actions. He asserted Israel's intention to operate across Gaza, including Rafah, Hamas's last stronghold.

Netanyahu warned against any advice to avoid action in Rafah, emphasising the stakes of the conflict. As international pressure mounts, Israel remains resolute in its pursuit of peace through military action.
