Emmanuel Macron's Ukraine Support: No Limits, No Red Lines

French President Emmanuel Macron reiterated his unequivocal support for Ukraine during a meeting with political party leaders on Thursday, stating that there are "no limits" and no "red lines" regarding France's assistance to the country, AFP has reported.

This affirmation comes amidst a national political debate sparked by Macron's earlier remarks on February 26, where he indicated that the possibility of sending Western ground troops to Ukraine cannot be ruled out.

Manuel Bompard, the coordinator of the radical left party France Unbowed (LFI), expressed concern over Macron's assertion that "Ukraine must be supported at all costs." Similarly, Jordan Bardella, president of the far-right party National Rally (RN), emphasised Macron's readiness to provide unlimited support for Ukraine.

The French president's unwavering stance on Ukraine has drawn criticism from opposition parties and prompted a response from Russia. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov denounced Macron's decision to escalate France's direct involvement in the Ukrainian conflict.

Emmanuel Macron's firm support for Ukraine signifies a significant shift in France's foreign policy and underscores the country's commitment to addressing the ongoing crisis in Eastern Europe.
