Agricultural entrepreneurs are increasingly using modern technologies. Students at the Soroca Agricultural Technical College are learning to use agricultural drones.

The agricultural college in Soroca has over 400 students who are training to be the country's future farmers. Recent innovations in agriculture have made work easier for farmers, a change welcomed by students.

“The demonstration lessons were really helpful..."

*"These drones show how much... they can make our lives easier.” *

"We also hope to get a larger drone as part of our 'Livada Moldovei' project," said one student.

Drones are replacing some traditional farming tools, offering an eco-friendly and efficient alternative. A local drone company, supported by UNDP Moldova and the European Union, provides Moldovan farmers with pest control, mapping, and monitoring services.

Farmers are also using drones to monitor and guard their crops. Drones can be operated manually or automatically and can cost up to 8 thousand euros.
