Moldovan Judoka Adil Osmanov Wins Gold at Linz Grand Prix

Moldovan judoka Adil Osmanov secured the gold medal at the prestigious Grand Prix held in Linz, Austria.

Competing in the under-73-kilogram weight category, Osmanov demonstrated remarkable skill by achieving victory in all five of his matches.

Throughout the tournament, Osmanov showcased his prowess by defeating formidable opponents such as Jano Ruebo from Germany, Ramazan Kodjakov representing Bahrain, Ioan Dzitac of Romania, and Koen Heg from the Netherlands. In the final, he emerged victorious over Azerbaijani athlete Rașid Mammadaliyev.

Currently ranked 24th in the world, Osmanov remains focused on securing his qualification for the upcoming Olympic Games. He acknowledges that consistent success in the forthcoming spring tournaments will be pivotal in achieving his goal.
