EBRD will grant the Republic of Moldova a loan of 150 million euros for the rehabilitation of roads
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) will offer our country a loan of 150 million euros for the rehabilitation of two road sections. According to the Legislative, the amount granted by the EBRD covers half of the amount needed to implement Project V for the repair of roads in Moldova. The rest of the money will be provided by the European Investment Bank, according to the Financing Agreement signed on March 31, 2022.
Thus, two important road sections are to be repaired. It is about the second sector of the Chisinau city belt. The road, which is seven kilometers long, will be expanded to four traffic lanes. The road that connects the border with Romania, Leușeni, Chisinau, Dubăsari and the border with Ukraine will also be modernized. It has a length of 85 kilometers.
The loan agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the EBRD regarding the implementation of Project V for the repair of roads in Moldova was ratified by the Parliament.
