Honorary consulate of the Republic of Moldova was inaugurated in Monaco

An honorary consulate of the Republic of Moldova was inaugurated in Monaco, the Embassy of our country in France announced in a statement. It will be led by the honorary consul Iacopomichele Cassiano, recently appointed to this position by the Moldovan authorities.

During the opening event, the ambassador of the Republic of Moldova in France, Corina Călugăru, evoked the interest of the national authorities to boost and diversify Moldovan-Monegasque relations, by capitalizing on the potential and opportunities for cooperation between the two states, materialized including through the expansion of the consular network and the appointment of an honorary consul in Monaco.

The event was attended by several top Monegasque officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Monaco and representatives of the business environment, including Monaco's Minister of State, Pierre Dartou; the Government adviser and Minister for Foreign Relations and Cooperation, Isabelle Berro-Amadei and the National adviser, Maryse Battaglia.

The Principality of Monaco is a city-state located on the French Riviera in Western Europe, facing the Mediterranean Sea.
