Mihai Popșoi, meeting with Josep Borell: "Republic of Moldova is more resilient in the face of security challenges thanks to EU support"

The situation in the Transnistrian region, in the context of the latest challenges, but also the fight against Russian propaganda, was discussed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, during a meeting with the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Josep Borrell.

During the dialogue, the head of diplomacy from Chisinau said that the Republic of Moldova is now more resilient in the face of security challenges thanks to the support of the European Union.

At the same time, the Minister of Foreign Affairs appreciated the activity of the Partnership Mission of the European Union in the Republic of Moldova, especially in terms of strengthening the institutional capacities trained in combating hybrid threats, as well as the assistance for the defense dimension through the instrument of the European Peace Facility.

The officials also discussed the priorities for the next period, as well as the new opportunities for cooperation in the security and defense dimension: "Josep Borrell assured us of the full support of the European Union in the dimension of foreign affairs and security, including in our European course", said Mihai Popsoi.

We remind you that, between March 19-22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, is visiting Brussels and Budapest. The head of Moldovan diplomacy will have meetings with several European officials.
