Andrei Spînu: Over 100 kilometers of regional roads will be repaired this year
This year, more than 100 kilometers of regional roads will be repaired, the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu, said today. The authorities checked the economic indicators and based on them it is to be determined which sections will be repaired.
"The economic indicators were checked, entrepreneurs, flow of cars, including social indicators: how many localities and how many citizens would benefit from these roads. Based on these indicators, it was determined which of the sections will be repaired. We still have 1200 km of gravel road in the country, which is managed by the State Road Administration. Last year we managed to repair 110 km of regional gravel road, and this year we plan to have another 100 km", said Andrei Spînu.
The Republic of Moldova has over 10 thousand kilometers of public roads, of which approximately six thousand are national and four thousand - regional, and over 1200 kilometers are gravel. We remind you that the Executive has recently allocated over 1.6 billion lei for the maintenance and repair of some segments of national public roads.
