Freight carriers will operate in the European Union without permits until December 2025

Freight carriers from the Republic of Moldova will freely circulate in the European Union without authorization until December 2025. The decision to extend the Agreement between the EU and our country was signed on Tuesday, March 26, by the Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development, Andrei Spînu and the director for Land Transport at the European Commission, Kristian Schmidt.

According to Minister Spînu, the extension of the agreement means: no special authorizations in the EU; increasing export and import with the EU; a European, safe and stable commercial market for the Republic of Moldova and simpler and more efficient logistics chains.

From 2023, goods transport services from the Republic of Moldova to the EU and vice versa increased by 15%, and goods exports to EU member states increased from 530.8 million dollars in July-September 2022 to 675.1 million dollars in the same period from 2023, says Andrei Spînu.
