Modern Equipment Upgrades ICU in Moldova
The Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit at the Gheorghe Paladi Municipal Clinical Hospital was inaugurated today following an extensive renovation process that cost more than 17 million lei.
The unit will have 13 beds and be equipped with modern equipment, said Health Minister Ala Nemerenco.
According to the Minister, the municipal hospital has recently benefited from major investments to improve the quality of medical services.
"This year, the Ministry of Health has invested 32 million lei in equipment and reconstruction works in this hospital. This includes equipment for the intensive care unit, including an oxygen generator, a modern ultrasound machine, monitors for the patient's critical condition, and an anaesthesia machine," stated Ala Nemerenco.
The renovation of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit was made possible thanks to the World Bank project "Emergency Response to Covid-19", which provides for the renovation and modernization of 11 such units throughout the country.
