Moldovan citizens seeking to purchase individual health insurance policies will now have the option to do so on weekends and holidays, March 30th and 31st, through the Mpay government e-payment service (mpay.gov.md).

The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) has extended the operating hours of the Info CNAM call centre to provide informational support. Citizens with questions regarding insurance premium payments can reach Info CNAM at 0 800 99999 on weekends between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Additionally, on Saturday, March 30th, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, beneficiary relations departments at CNAM's regional agencies will be open. Representatives in each district will be available to guide and assist with the insurance premium payment process.

March 31st marks the final day citizens can take advantage of reduced rates for mandatory health insurance premiums. The premium ranges from 1,014 to 4,056 lei, depending upon the citizen's eligibility category.

As of this report, over 100,000 citizens have already purchased the fixed-sum mandatory health insurance premium for 2024. Moldovans have three remaining days to secure the policy at the reduced price. After March 31st, the premium will increase to 12,636 lei.
