The Moldovan leadership sent messages of condolence after the air tragedy in Brovari

The Moldovan authorities came with messages of condolences for the Ukrainian people, following the tragedy this morning in Brovari, when a helicopter fell near a kindergarten and residential blocks, killing at least 18 people, including the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

"I learned with great sadness the news of the crash of a helicopter in the Kyiv region. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and his colleagues, as well as civilians, including children, fell victim to this tragedy. I address, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Moldova and myself, my most sincere condolences to the Government and the Ukrainian people. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. I wish those injured a speedy recovery", reads the message of the country's prime minister, Natalia Gavrilița.

"I convey my condolences to the Ukrainian leadership and the Ukrainian people for this loss," reads the message posted by the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu.

The Minister of Internal Affairs from Chisinau, Ana Revenco, also came with a message of condolences. The minister was "deeply saddened" by the loss of human lives, including that of the Ukrainian Minister of the Interior, Denis Monastîrski.

"I send my condolences to the families of the victims. Moldova stands in solidarity with Ukraine", wrote Ana Revenco.

In a statement issued, the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Moldova encourages the Ukrainian internal affairs system "to continue the struggle of resistance and defense of the homeland, in honor of those who disappeared, who made their country resist the war, even through the ultimate sacrifice."

As a result of the tragic plane crash, at least 18 people, including children, died, and dozens more were admitted to the hospital with injuries. Representatives of the National Police and Air Force of Ukraine claim that it is too early to draw conclusions about the preliminary causes of the helicopter crash.
