More Moldovans can benefit from help for the cold period of the year. The government has increased the access ceiling
The number of disadvantaged families in the country who can now benefit from help from the state during the cold period of the year has increased. The Government approved the increase, from 2.2 to 2.6, of the ceiling for the guaranteed minimum monthly income, used to establish the right to aid for the cold period of the year.
According to the Executive, the move will ensure the continuity of the provisions of the Commission for Exceptional Situations, in the event of the cancellation of the state of emergency on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
At the same time, the Government approved, during the meeting on Wednesday, January 18, the extension of the decision-making period regarding granting or not granting the right to social aid and/or aid for the cold period of the year up to 40 working days from the date of registration of the application. According to the source, this adjustment is necessary due to the increase in the workload of the staff in the social assistance structures, in the context of the implementation of several new social protection measures intended to support the disadvantaged population in the cold season of the year.
Moldova 1 reminds its viewers that disadvantaged families from the Republic of Moldova can benefit from monthly aid, in the amount of 700 lei, granted between November 1, 2022 and March 31, 2023.
