Moldovan Cup Drama: Team Loses Despite On-Field Win

The Disciplinary Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation has awarded Zimbru Chișinău a 3-0 victory by forfeit in the return leg of their quarter-final against Milsami Orhei.

This decision stems from Milsami violating the Regulations of the Moldovan Cup, edition 2023/24, and the Regulations on the Organization and Functioning of the Judicial Bodies within the FMF.

Milsami exceeded the permitted number of substitutions, making six changes during the 90 minutes of the match when regulations allow only five.

Despite losing the match on the pitch, Zimbru advances to the semifinals thanks to the forfeit victory. The "yellow-greens" will now face Sheriff Tiraspol, with the first leg scheduled for April 24th and the return leg on May 1st.
