The Moldovans who were going to protest in Bucharest at the PPE congress were banned from entering Romania

116 citizens of the Republic of Moldova were banned from entering Romania. The decision was taken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the neighboring country. It is about the young people who, at the beginning of March, were going to protest in Bucharest during the Congress of the European People's Party (EPP), in which the president Maia Sandu also participated. The information was confirmed to Moldova 1 TV by the head of Interpol Moldova, Viorel Țentiu.

"The information was received from the law enforcement authorities in Romania and that group close to the Sor group were all banned from entering Romania. I can't comment on the period because the decision is up to the law enforcement authorities in Romania and I don't know what the period would be," said Țentiu.

We remind you that, on March 7, the head of the General Police Inspectorate, Viorel Cernăuțeanu, and the head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office, Veronica Dragalin, said that around 200 compatriots paid by the fugitive Ilan Șor would have been paid to go to Bucharest to protest .

According to the authorities, they would have relied on the support of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians party from the neighboring country. Cernăuțeanu then declared that the participants would have received hundreds of euros per day for the demonstrations.

"More than 200 people were prepared to go to Bucharest, organized from Chisinau, but in cooperation with the law enforcement bodies from Bucharest, it was possible to eradicate these destabilizing actions. There was a part of them that managed to get to Bucharest, but together with the police bodies from Bucharest, it was possible to document them. The sums to be paid for the people who would have participated in Bucharest reached hundreds of euros per day. For a minibus of about 20 people, the amount allocated was 10 thousand euros. Some people arrived there, they are Russian-speaking people, they didn't know where and why they were moving, but they had the goal of acting exactly the way they acted previously in Chisinau. AUR Party is planning these actions in Bucharest", said Viorel Cernăuțeanu, in briefing.

According to the head of the IGP, among the protesters were also former employees of law enforcement institutions, reservists, with specializations in the respective fields.
