The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights and the ILO Director General are coming to Chisinau
The European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Nicolas Schmit, and the Director General of the International Labor Organization (ILO), Gilbert Houngbo, are paying a working visit to Chisinau, on April 10-11. The officials' agenda includes meetings with President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean, as well as with representatives of the National Confederation of Employers and the National Confederation of Trade Unions from Moldova.
The officials will also have meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, and the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Alexei Buzu.
Also, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, together with the two officials, will hold a conference on April 11, during which a new project financed by the European Union "EU support for a more inclusive labor market in the Republic of Moldova" will be launched ".
The project, with a budget of 2,000,000 euros, will be implemented by the International Labor Organization.
The agenda of the European Commissioner for jobs and social rights will end with a visit to the "Voinicel" Early Intervention Center, which previously benefited from the financial support of the European Union.
