Real Madrid vs Man City: Champions League Rematch On
The last two winners of the competition, Real Madrid and Manchester City, played in the semifinals last year, with the latter claiming victory in the two-legged tie with an aggregate score of 5-1.
Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola believes that Real Madrid has become stronger since their previous encounter and will be eager to avenge their semifinal elimination.
"Beating Real Madrid twice in a row is almost impossible. To defeat this team once is incredibly difficult, let alone eliminate them twice consecutively! They've learned their lesson from last year, they have pride, and they will play carefully and smartly," said Josep Guardiola, Manchester City manager.
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti maintains a composed demeanour ahead of his 200th Champions League match – a significant milestone in his career.
"It will be a fantastic match, with high-quality, dynamic football. These are two teams that, while perhaps not identical in style, are both at the absolute pinnacle of the sport, boasting world-class players," said Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid manager.
The Real Madrid - Manchester City match will be played tonight, starting at 22:00. Also scheduled for today is another quarter-final match, with Arsenal London hosting Bayern Munich.
