Natalia Barbu Stuns with Acoustic 'In the Middle' Ahead of Eurovision
Natalia Barbu, who serves as the representative of our nation at Eurovision 2024, has garnered widespread acclaim with the unveiling of the acoustic rendition of her song "In the Middle".
This alternative rendition introduces a heightened sense of depth and intimacy, providing audiences with a mesmerising and emotionally resonant musical journey. Barbu expresses her aspiration that prior to her performance in Sweden, this acoustic interpretation will be complemented by a bespoke music video.
"It embodies a more soulful rendition. We've possessed this version for a considerable duration. Should we succeed in producing a music video before our departure for Eurovision, it would be advantageous."
Barbu reveals that the creation of the acoustic rendition was a spontaneous and unique endeavour, captured on the spur of the moment without any prior rehearsal. Each note and melody was meticulously recorded in real-time. The accompanying video footage, shot with a mobile device, imparts an authentic ambiance to the overall experience, effectively conveying the warmth and fervour of Barbu's performance directly to her audience.

It is pertinent to note that Natalia Barbu, the designated representative of the Republic of Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, will take to the stage under the banner of number 11 during the initial semifinal, slated for May 7th. The official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel unveiled, on the evening of March 26th, the sequence of appearances for each participating country in both semifinal rounds of ESC 2024.
