Raids in Orhei: Illegally owned weapons and ammunition found at the homes of four people
Raids in Orhei in a case of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition. According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), the law enforcement officers raided four residences in the localities of Jora de Jos and Jora de Mijloc in Orhei district.
As a result, a CZ99 pistol, a ZH 304-12GA and an IJ 27 model gun, two weapons of an unknown model, two air guns, three charges and 161 cartridges, all illegally possessed, were found and seized .
The weapons and ammunition were sent for expertise to the Technical-Criminal and Judicial Expertise Center of the IGP. Law enforcement officers are documenting the case, including whether these weapons were used in the commission of any illegalities.
The IPG specifies that the voluntary surrender of illegally possessed weapons and ammunition exempts citizens from contraventional and criminal liability.
