1,000 euros for expediting the procedure for importing cars from the EU. A man, caught in the act by the CNA

A resident of Chisinau was detained by CNA officers in a case of influence peddling. The man would have claimed that he has influence over officials from the Customs Service and that he can persuade them to speed up the process of importing used cars from the European Union.

For these services, the suspect would have claimed and received money in the amount of 1000 euros. According to CNA, the man was detained at the time of receiving the money and was placed in isolation.

The CNA specifies that any person is presumed to be innocent until a final and irrevocable court decision is ruled.
