Davos: The Republic of Moldova asks allies for anti-aircraft defense systems and financial aid
The Republic of Moldova has asked its allies for anti-aircraft defence systems as the war in neighbouring Ukraine continues, but Russia's efforts to destabilise the Republic of Moldova have so far failed, President Maia Sandu said in an interview with Reuters at the Economic Forum on Thursday World from Davos, reports Agerpres.
"We asked for surveillance and air defence systems. We understand that Ukraine is a priority and must receive them, but we hope to receive something too," said Maia Sandu.
The Head of State added that the Republic of Moldova, in 2023, needs external financial aid that is at least at the level of 2022, i.e. at least 600 million euros, in order to protect its population in the face of inflation, Agerpres reports.
