Anastasia Gracheva, the first representative of the Republic of Moldova to perform at the European Figure Skating Championships
Anastasia Gracheva is the first representative of Moldova to perform at a European Figure Skating Championship among seniors. The competition will take place at the Espoo Metro Areena in Finland from January 25-29 and will feature athletes from 36 countries.
According to a statement issued by the National Olympic and Sports Committee, representatives from Russia and Belarus were not given the right to compete. Finland has hosted the European Championship three times before, in 1977, 1993 and 2009. At the end of last year, Anastasia Gracheva won the Istanbul international figure skating tournament.
