First 250 volunteers, trained for fair monitoring of secondary school graduation exams
More than 250 people responded to the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Research to participate as volunteers in the monitoring of the 9th grade graduation exams, the institution announces in a statement.
The activity is part of the National Campaign "Be HONEST, don't copy!" which aims to ensure equal opportunities for students to prove the knowledge they have gained during their years of study, to increase transparency and to reduce corruption in the country's schools.
All the people who signed up to be volunteers attended a training organized by the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation.
The participants were informed about the way the exams are conducted, responsibilities, the general procedures and the applied normative acts and asked questions to the experts. The training is mandatory to be able to carry out the volunteer activity within the project.
