Six Ukrainians, detained while illegally crossing the border. They request asylum on the territory of the Republic of Moldova
Six Ukrainians were detained after they fraudulently crossed the border of the Republic of Moldova. The case was registered on May 1, in the control area of the Tocuz Border Police Sector.
According to the data presented, the migrants would have been helped to cross the border illegally by a group of people, and they would have paid $4,000 per person for the services provided.
The Border Police states that the foreigners were observed moving hurriedly towards the Republic of Moldova. As part of the documentation, they applied for asylum on the territory of our country.
The law enforcement officers are investigating the case under all legal aspects, in order to elucidate the circumstances and to identify all the people involved in promoting illegal migration.
