US Ambassador to Chisinau, message on the Easter holidays: May the spirit of the holidays bring peace, goodwill and understanding all over the world

The US Ambassador to Chisinau, Kent D. Logsdon, sent a congratulatory message in Romanian to Moldovan citizens on the occasion of the Easter holidays. The diplomat and his wife were dressed in traditional Moldovan clothes and cracked red eggs.

"Dear friends, on the occasion of Easter, we wish you a celebration full of harmony and joy with your loved ones. In these difficult times, may the spirit of the Easter holidays bring peace, goodwill and understanding throughout the world. From Michelle, Annie, and myself, we send you our best wishes and a blessed Easter," Kent D. Logsdon said.

We remind you that Orthodox Christians celebrate Easter today, considered the greatest celebration of Christianity, which signifies the Resurrection of the Lord. On this occasion, religious services were held in the country's churches, and thousands of Moldovans went to the holy places to take the holy light. And this year, the Holy Fire from Jerusalem arrived in the Republic of Moldova.

More than 450 firefighters and rescuers are on duty over the Easter holidays. The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations urges citizens to use candles with caution, and adults are asked to monitor their minors and not allow them to play with matches and open fire.
