Agenda of President Sandu's first state visit to Norway: welcome ceremony at the Royal Palace, meetings with officials and gala dinner

President Maia Sandu's first state visit to Norway follows the invitation of His Majesty King Harald and Her Majesty Queen Sonja and will begin with an official welcome ceremony at the Royal Palace Slottsplassen, a wreath-laying at the medieval castle Akershus Fortress. Also, the head of state will have a meeting with the Parliament Speaker, Masud Gharahkhani, as well as with the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Norwegian Legislative.

The day will end with a gala dinner at the Royal Palace hosted by King Harald and Queen Sonja. Tuesday's program includes a meeting with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Also, Maia Sandu will give a lecture at the University of Oslo.

The state visit emphasizes Norway's support and solidarity with the Republic of Moldova, which has contributed to the management of crises and supports democratic reforms in our country, as well as closer cooperation with the rest of Europe, reads the statement of the Norwegian Executive.

We remind you that Maia Sandu will pay a state visit to Norway on May 6-7. The delegation led by the head of state will also include the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi. This is the first state visit of a president of the Republic of Moldova to this country.
