The announcement was made by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre at the "Energy Round Table" event, hosted by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) in Oslo.

Prime Minister Støre commended the progress made by the Moldovan government in implementing the European reform agenda, particularly in the energy sector.

"The war of aggression waged by Russia has had a severe impact on security across Europe," Prime Minister Støre said. "Yet, Moldova stands as an inspiring example of how democratisation and progress can be achieved even in extremely challenging circumstances. The 30 million euros in financial support that we are providing will be used to broaden cooperation in several areas, including education and good governance initiatives in the country."

The roundtable, held under the auspices of NORAD, convened senior Norwegian officials and stakeholders from the Norwegian energy sector.
