Ukrainian citizens continue to flee the war. Only in the last 24 hours, thousands entered the Republic of Moldova
The war started by the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine last spring continues to drive Ukrainian citizens out of the country. According to the Border Police, only in the last 24 hours, more than five thousand Ukrainians, including almost 1,500 minors, entered the Republic of Moldova. Over five thousand other citizens of Ukraine chose to leave our country during the same period of time.
According to the quoted source, in the last 24 hours, over 45 thousand people entered or left the Republic of Moldova. The most active border remained with Romania, where 26,660 crossings were registered, at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, 11,918 crossings were reported and another 6,838 crossings - the air border. We remind that, since the beginning of the war in the neighboring country, more than 750,000 people from Ukraine entered the Republic of Moldova, of which about 102,000 people still remain on the territory of our country. Also during this period, more than 11,000 people applied for asylum.
