Chisinau hosts political-military consultations between the Republic of Moldova and Poland
A round of political-military consultations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Poland was hosted by the Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi and the Minister of Defense, Anatolie Nosatîi, in Chisinau. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the consultations, a wide spectrum of subjects on the agenda of bilateral relations was examined, regarding the current state and prospects for the development of political dialogue and cooperation in the military field between the two states.
"In the context of the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, I highlighted the common interest of the Republic of Moldova and Poland in restoring the international order based on rules and norms - the principles of the UN Charter, respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states. With reference to the existence of risks to the security of the Republic of Moldova, I mentioned the efforts of national institutions in combating hybrid threats and disinformation. We reiterated our country's interest in increasing cooperation with Poland in order to strengthen resilience and security capacities", declared Popșoi.
The Polish delegation was led by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Robert Kupiecki, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of National Defense, Paweł Zalewski.
