Eurovision Grand Final: Croatia Leads as Sweden Opens

This evening, the Grand Final of the 68th Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Malmö, Sweden. Following the two semi-finals, 20 countries qualified for the competition, joining the "Big Five" nations and the defending champion, Sweden.

The running order for the Grand Final was determined in the early hours after Thursday's second semi-final by Swedish broadcaster SVT, this year's Eurovision producer. As a result of the draw, Sweden will perform first in the competition.

Moldova's representative, Natalia Barbu, with her song "In The Middle," unfortunately did not qualify for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest finals.

This marks Malmö's third time hosting the Eurovision Song Contest. The city previously hosted the competition in 2013, the year singer Loreen secured a second Eurovision victory for Sweden.

Bookmakers currently rank Croatia's entry as the favourite to win the trophy, followed by Switzerland, Ukraine, and Ireland.
