Manchester City Secures Historic Fourth Premier League Title
In the final stage of the Premier League, the "citizens" secured a 3-1 victory on their home field against West Ham United, a win that also clinched the title for them.
The celebration began immediately after the final whistle, initiated by the supporters.
The spectators invaded the field, starting the celebration at Manchester City's home, the Etihad Stadium. Once the crowd was dispersed from the field, the ceremony awarding the champions could take place.
In the final stage of the championship, Manchester City only needed a victory in their home match against West Ham United to be certain of winning the title and not have to depend on the result of the Arsenal-Everton match, with the "gunners" being the main competitors of the "citizens" for the title.
However, City revved their engines to the maximum from the 2nd minute. Phil Foden opened the scoring and then doubled the lead to 2-0 in the 18th minute. Just before halftime, Mohamed Kudus reduced the deficit, but West Ham United could not do more than that. The final score of 3-1 was established by Rodri in the 51st minute, and Manchester City won the title for the fourth consecutive time, becoming the first club in England to achieve this historic feat.
The Premier League podium was completed by Arsenal and Liverpool, and Aston Villa will also compete in the Champions League next season, while Luton Town, Burnley, and Sheffield United were relegated.
