Preliminary investigation: Iran rejects the hypothesis of a "criminal act" in the crash of the helicopter of President Ebrahim Raisi

A few days after the death of the Iranian president, Ebrahim Raisi, who died in a helicopter crash, the Iranian army rejected, in a preliminary investigation, the hypothesis of a criminal act. The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces said that the helicopter followed the flight plan and no projectile or similar impact was observed on the wreckage of the helicopter.

According to Iranian media, the Iranian military also said that more time is needed to thoroughly investigate the causes of the accident.

We remind you that the helicopter carrying President Raisi crashed on May 19 in a mountainous area. All nine people on board died.

Ebrahim Raisi was buried on Thursday, and the funeral was attended by tens of thousands of people.
