"Breach of rules": Two songs were disqualified from the Eurovision contest, the national stage
Two songs were disqualified from the Eurovision 2023 contest, the national stage: "Squeeze Paradise" by the band "NÖRDIKA" and the duet Massimo Sinceri and DA-MUSE.
According to a statement issued by TRM, the song "Squeeze Paradise" was disqualified from the contest because it would violate the provision in the Regulation according to which the songs registered in the contest must not be published before September 1, 2022, and the duet Massimo Sinceri and DA-MUSE for that they violated the 50% co-ratio of the contribution of soloists who are citizens of other states.
Thus, according to the cited source, the band "NÖRDIKA" will perform during the live auditions on January 28, 2023 only with the other song with which they recorded - "Damn and down".
Moldova 1 reminds its viewers that 60 files were registered within the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 National Selection, of which 33 songs were selected. After the disqualification of the two songs, 31 songs will be auditioned in the stage of the live auditions.
The songs entered in the Competition can be heard online, on the website www.eurovision.md.
The Live Auditions stage will be organised on January 28, at 2:00 p.m. in the large studio of Public Television. The auditions will be broadcast live on the television channel Moldova 2 and on its website, as well as on www.eurovision.md.
Likewise, on January 28, at 7:30 p.m., Moldova 1 television station will host a special edition about the live auditions with the participation of experts in the field and members of the jury. The list of finalists will be announced during this edition. In accordance with the provisions of the Regulation, the first ten contestants, who will accumulate the highest score in the live auditions, will compete in the National Final.
This year, the 67th edition of Eurovision will be held in Liverpool, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
