A passenger found at Chisinau Airport with 20 thousand euros and undeclared goods
A passenger traveling on the "Frankfurt-Chisinau" route was found to be carrying 20 thousand Euros and gadgets in commercial quantities. The case was registered at the Chisinau International Airport customs post.
According to the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, the passenger selected the green corridor - "nothing to declare", but as a result of the customs control, 20,000 Euros and a commercial batch of latest generation gadgets were found in his suitcase.
Documented on the case is a 32-year-old man.
The currency and goods were seized, and the case is still being examined by the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Customs Service.
In the context, the Customs Service reminds the travel rules for people who intend to cross the border by air, on one of the two selected crossing corridors - green and red. Thus, in the Chisinau International Airport customs post, both when entering and leaving the country, passengers choose one of the two crossings, marked by distinctive colors and indicators, accompanied by the words: for the green corridor "NOTHING TO DECLARE"; for the "GOODS TO DECLARE" red corridor.
In the case of transporting objects and goods that must be declared in written form as well as currency in cash, passengers will complete the traveler's customs declaration and the supplementary sheet to the declaration, as well as the statement on currency values.
