The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nicu Popescu, pays a working visit to Spain
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, is paying a working visit to Spain, on January 23-24, at the invitation of his Spanish counterpart, José Manuel Albares Bueno. The head of Chisinau's diplomacy announces that he would discuss, in Madrid, the deepening of the Moldovan-Spanish bilateral dialogue, the European agenda of our country, the organisation of the European Political Community Summit, but also current regional issues in the context of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the work agenda will include Moldovan-Spanish bilateral consultations at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain. After the meeting of the national delegations, press statements will be made, which will be broadcast live on networks managed by the diplomacy in Chisinau.
In the working schedule, Nicu Popescu will have meetings with Meritxell Batet Lamaña, the president of the Congress of Deputies, Pau Mari Klose, the president of the foreign political commission of the Congress of Deputies and Santiago Miralles, the director of the Spanish Diplomatic School. At the same time, the head of diplomacy from Chisinau announced that he would participate in the workshop organised by the European Council for Foreign Relations, on the subject of the European Political Community, hosted by our country on June 1.
As part of the visit, Nicu Popescu will also visit the SATCEN Satellite Center of the European Union, where he will give a public lecture at the Spanish Diplomatic School and give interviews to the Spanish national media. For the evening of January 24, the head of diplomacy from Chisinau has scheduled a meeting with the diaspora at the embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Madrid.
