A 20-year-old woman put her newborn baby in the freezer after she allegedly gave birth to him without signs of life. According to the law enforcement officers, the young woman went to the doctors for medical help, after giving birth at home. The police announce that the young woman went to the hospital without the child, a situation that alarmed the doctors. The case happened on January 23, in Chisinau.
According to the Police, after being notified by the doctors, the operative group went to the young woman's place of residence, establishing that, on January 22, she gave birth to a child in domestic conditions. The woman told the police that when the child was born, there were no signs of life and she decided to put him in the freezer, to later bury him.
As a result of the medico-legal examination, at home, no traces of violent death were found on the baby's body, and he was sent to the Forensic Medicine Center, for the expert examination and the exact determination of the cause and time of death.
At the same time, the law enforcement officers established that the young woman tried to hide the pregnancy in her hometown, and shortly before the birth she rented an apartment in Chisinau.
A criminal trial was started on the case, within which criminal prosecution actions will be carried out to establish all the circumstances.
