Project of automatic exchange of customs information between the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine was launched
The pilot project between the customs authorities of the Republic of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine regarding the automatic exchange of customs information through the System (SEED+) was launched today, June 10. According to the Customs Service, the pilot project involves the exchange of data at the customs posts at the Moldovan-Romanian border Leușeni-Albita, Giurgiulești-Galați and at the customs post at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border Giurgiulești-Reni, between June 10 and July 12.
Thus, the three customs authorities will contrast the electronic data in real time through the SEED+ system, which will include information on the means of freight transport, both loaded and empty, crossing in both directions the border customs posts included in the pilot project .
The automatic exchange of customs information will streamline the cooperation of border institutions, increase safety along the entire supply chain in terms of security and facilitate trade between the Republic of Moldova, the European Union and the CEFTA states.
We remind you that the implementation of this project was approved by the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova and the Romanian Customs Authority regarding the pilot project on the automatic exchange of customs information within the EU4Digital Program.
