The Chisinau authorities are looking forward to the first intergovernmental conference between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, which will mark the official launch of accession negotiations. The statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi, in Bratislava, during a joint conference with his Slovak counterpart, Juraj Blanár. “*We appreciated the openness of our discussions, aimed at further boosting our bilateral agenda, especially at this complicated time for regional security. With Juraj Blanár we also exchanged views on cooperation within international and regional organizations such as the United Nations and the Council of Europe. Our mutual support for the candidates in these forums reflects our common commitment to promote peace, democracy and human rights in the world," said Mihai Popșoi.
