Denmark created the first chance of the match in the opening minute when Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's shot from the edge of the area was saved by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. England responded through Phil Foden, whose effort went over the bar. The Three Lions then opened the scoring in the 18th minute. Kyle Walker raced into the penalty area, his pass deflected by a Danish defender, and Harry Kane capitalised with a clinical finish past Kasper Schmeichel.

Denmark equalised with a superb strike from Morten Hjulmand in the 34th minute. The midfielder unleashed a powerful shot from approximately 30 metres that found the back of the net.

After halftime, Foden almost put England ahead with a well-struck shot that rattled the crossbar. Substitute Ollie Watkins also had a good opportunity to score in the 69th minute, but his effort was saved by Denmark's goalkeeper. Hojbjerg threatened again in the 85th minute with a dangerous shot from outside the box, but the ball went wide.

England goes into the final group stage match with four points, while Denmark and Slovenia share two points each. Serbia sits at the bottom of the group with one point.
